Testosterone Replacement Therapy

Testosterone is a hormone that helps maintain men’s bone density, muscle strength / mass, red blood cell production, sex drive, mental, and physical stamina. As early as age 30, testosterone levels begin to decline leading to adverse changes such as:

·         Reduced sexual function and libido

·         Increased body fat

·         Decreased cognitive function and “foggy” feeling

·         Reduced muscle mass and strength

·         Bone density loss

·         Reduced energy, motivation, and sense of well being

·         Joint pain and inflammation

·         Slower recovery from injuries and illness

Low testosterone is directly correlated with increased risk of chronic health conditions such as obesity, cardiovascular disease, type 2 diabetes, and depression. Optimizing testosterone can reduce the risk of, or potentially reverse, the aforementioned symptoms and disease processes. It can significantly improve overall quality of life.

As an experienced healthcare provider, trained and certified in hormone replacement therapy, I will work with you to determine the best treatment plan based on your individual needs. Starting with an initial telemedicine visit, we will; discuss health history, current symptoms, and your health goals. In depth, comprehensive lab work will then be ordered. At the follow up visit, we will review and discuss lab work, and depending on the case, hormone replacement and/or other medication therapies may be initiated.
